She began fishing from a young age and as her curiosity grew, she grew her passion for the fish in the water. While April started fishing conventional gear in her early days, she quickly found there was a natural place in heart for fly fishing.

April started her blog and guide service, Fly Gal Ventures, in 2007 in hopes to share the experience and passion she has for fly fishing to other women. April is one of the most inspirational “gals” in the fishing industry and has dedicated her life to teaching, now, both men and women. April has graced the cover and been the subject of many magazine and internet articles while always staying true to her roots and speaking her mind.

We are extremely pleased to have April and Adrienne bring their knowledge of fly fishing and passion to Steelhead Girls!
